*Design Note: Critical pitch control (orifice) areas and ejector piston extension are no longer plagued by obstructions from cartridge gas contaminants! The cartridge gases are contained within the breech and gas piston areas only. Hydraulic pressure operates as part of the sealed for life hydraulic system. The sealed for life hydraulic system is guaranteed for 150 shots or 60 days without the need for cleaning. Only the breech and gas piston are removed for cleaning, not the extensive cleaning teardown required by other gas racks.

The MBM 151 Ejector Release Unit (ERU) is designed to be a low cost, low maintenance, highly reliable ejector release unit utilizing a gas / hydraulic ejector system. In addition to an inherent self-compensating force control, this ejector release unit features variable pitch rate capability to provide positive control for mission profile and store type. The 151 Ejector Release Unit requires only minimal cleaning throughout its useful life and is compatible with conventional stores ranging from six to twenty inches in diameter.
