EDO Artisan custom cables and assemblies fit better, work better, and are more reliable for linking electronic subsystems. Our cables and cable assemblies meet the requirements of, and are primarily employed in: aircraft, ground support equipment, and undersea applications for both military and commercial usage.  Custom cable assemblies give you plug-and-go efficiency plus single-source assurance of end-to-end quality control.  Cable assemblies from Artisan range from short wires with single connectors on each end to very large, complex, multi-conductor, multi-branched cable assemblies.  

EDO Artisan routinely provides customer design support, and manufactures multi-conductor cables of two, 10, even 350 conductors, with shields as necessary.  You can specify virtually any number of branches, sub-branches, and connectors on your finished product.  We offer polyurethane, neoprene, hypalon, or silicon rubber molding.  That's why the U.S. Government (DOD), U.S. commercial manufacturers and major prime contractors rely on EDO Artisan. 

An Artisan cable is a totally unified system with:
      •   Wrinkle-free round uniform O.D. jackets
      •   Molds and mold adapters machined in-house to produce Seamless molded branch-points
      •   Inseparable bonds to cable jackets & connectors
      •   J-STD-001 soldering
      •   End-to-end resistance to moisture
      •   Options available:
         •  Synthetic braiding material (Teflon®, Dacron, Kevlar®) 
         •  Polyurethane, Neoprene, Hypalon or Silicon molding

Our contra-helical winding procedure enables us to provide cables that have maximum flexibility.  Consequently, there is no tension or binding among the layers, insulation, and shielding within our cables. 

Custom Bulk Cable 

There is no need to buy 5000 feet if you only need 50!  Artisan specializes in cost-effective, custom bulk cable that is smooth, reliable, flexible, and made to your requirements:
              • Flexible - special construction yields 360° movement
              • Any combination of wires, and insulations under a neoprene jacket
              • EMI/EMP/environmental compliance

Artisan provides the means to turn bulk cable into multi-branched, ruggedized cable assemblies and harnesses. Artisan will:
              •  Manufacture the cable with the shields and jacket you require
              •  Cut it to length
              •  Break it out into the branches or conductor groups you need
              •  Attach connectors as required
              •  Mold all junctions if required 
              •  Inspect and test the finished product
